Schimmering

I love the peacfulness of Sunday mornings. The business of the week is pushed aside and my mind is clear. My heart years for the serenity that comes by focusing on the things of God. It is easier to assess where I am at and what He wants me to do, possibly to improve on for the next week. I seek connection with Him through pondering, reading His word and prayer. Some weeks I have the need to study materials so that I can teach His word. Those Sundays may not feel quite as restful, however, as I watch my mind become enlightened as I "see" and "hear" beyond my own understanding and am able to transmit that to my class, I am inspired that God can make me more than I am. Yes, Sundays are truly a delight to me. I am grateful to be able to push aside the things of the world for an entire day and reconnect with my creator.

Life can be so busy!
There are so many responsibilities, expectations, and opportunities to pursue.
And these are multiplied with children, spouses or life events. Sometimes just
trying to get the items on the checklist checked off, seems to become the
focus...but what about enjoying the moment?
Sometimes I have felt
that I can barely gasp for air in the middle of my "to dos”. That is when I learned to count my blessings.
GRATITUDE brings JOY! I know that one of my main purposes of life is to have
JOY! So, the next time that you feel overwhelmed, try GRATITUDE. Count your
blessings and see if joy fills you up. My daughter once counted her challenges…hmm…I’m
still pondering on that one….
1-God, 2-family, 3-health….
